DInput vs XInput, and why player five gets a PlayStation pad

Sometimes someone connects a fifth phone and asks why that player's pad suddenly looks like a PlayStation controller. Short answer: Windows only allows four Xbox-style pads at once. Past that, QR Controller keeps adding players as PlayStation-style pads instead!

So aneight-phone Pico Parknight still works. Four Xbox pads, then PlayStation pads for the rest. The game still sees real controllers, and the phones still just say whatever youlabeled on the buttons.

Here is what you need to know

By default the app uses Xbox-style pads, which most games like. If you want every phone to match, or you need more than four players looking the same, flip to PlayStation-style in the settings. Real Xbox pads plugged into the PC count toward the four too, and the app warns you when you're about to spill over.

Thats it! Scan the QR Code, fill the room, and play.

Want to try it?QR Controller is a one-time purchase on Steam. Friends scan a QR code and play in their browser, nothing to install on their phones.
