How to use your phone as a steering wheel in Forza Horizon
Playing Forza Horizon with your phone as the wheel is just fun. Hold it sideways, tilt into a corner, and it feels way closer to a real wheel than a thumbstick ever does. Same layout works in Horizon 4, 5 and 6!
Here is what using it looks like
- Install QR Controller from Steam and open it.
- Set Controller Type to the Forza Horizon layout.
- Scan the QR code with your phone camera. The controller opens in the browser, and Forza sees a normal gamepad.
- For motion steering, open the controller in the free companion app, or switch to Via Internet and scan again.
- Hold the phone sideways, tap Enable Motion Control, and go drive!
What's on the phone
Throttle and brake share one slider. Push up for gas, pull down for brake, and there's a small vibration at the neutral point so you can find it without looking. Partial throttle is great on dirt!
You also get Rewind, Shift Up and Shift Down for manual driving, and the handbrake (labeled EBreak).
